  • It was her fate...her ancestors raped their way along the english south coast...Alex raping her and ruining her tragic life was payback for her Norman lineage..so sad but typical Hardy genius!!

  • I love Tess of the D'Urbervilles. It's such a tragic story, but Tess's love for Angel is so strong and beautiful! I wish they would've met earlier.

  • @claraboomday doubt it. Not only was it mentioned as an unproven possibility, but it assumes unfairly that Alex had an innocent past. Which is clearly untrue or at least dubious, given his family's purchase of the D'urberville title. To claim then that such payback is deserved especially when the case for both payee and payer is dubious, is hardly fate.

  • Has anyone of you the version of anne briggs " the snow it melts the soonest" with music? I just can find her singing without a melody. Thank you :)

  • It is soooo emotionall!! I love it wish life was like that now without any phones n stuff x

  • @Jamesapplejuice it s :The Snow It Melts The Soonest but I cant find it .

  • what's the name of the song at 0:27-1:11???

  • @Jamesapplejuice (The music at 1.40 - 2.15). Maybe its just me but it strongly reminds me of music by 'Ralph Vaughan Williams'. For example 'The Lark Ascending' but I can't quite pin it down!

  • Anyone know the song with the violins yet? (1:40 - 2.15)

  • @cndwindy welllll technically they did, they just didn't speak much, if any at all, at the dance. so they did meet at the beginning, but i know what you mean :)

  • The tess of the d'urbervilles theme song is just too beautiful. I can not stop listening to it.

  • @oliver12345678910908 I want to know as well. :(

Does anyone know a place to get the soundtrack?
