I've come to notice( this not really being with the technique of sweeping, but more of a way to enhance them) that having a delay pedal backing it ( not having it delay but have it doubling[playing at same time] it) it makes the sweep stand out more from your normal playing, and ultimately gives it a cleaner sound because it'll filter out some of the extra distortion making sound sloppy (you still need to know how to sweep properly this just gives it a more studio sounding quality)

is that alexi laihos guitar?

I've been working on sweeping in a kind of half assed way for about a year now. I really only practice one pattern and can do it pretty well...just cant get it to sound that clean. The first thing when i go to my music room tomorrow is try out the palm mute thing. Never heard that before and i bet it will work for me. You seem like a pretty cool dude and make great vids. But anyways, thanks for the awesome video.

fuck your guitar is soo nice! i want it!

@Warhear87 i thought so...it's logical that i should play better and doing sweeps a lot easier,so i guess i should buy a new guitar....but as things stand that would be for about 5-6 years :)

@MrLuciferion -- it never hurts to try to explain. I have not had any problems understanding you so far. I understand about the guitar. It does help to have a speed neck.

@Warhear87 well,i can't really describe it,because my english vocabulary isn't that good....anyway,thanks for the advices,i will try, maybe it would help...but i think that problem is because my guitar isn't very good, and neck is a little bit bad and wide, because i don't have money to buy a good one.I live in a shitty country and we barely have mony for basic life needs...

@MrLuciferion -- eh, not as descriptive as I wanted. What I'm getting at is that most people who say they have the same problem of stretching can usually fix the problem by changing the position of their thumb and the posture of their fretting hand. The only parts that should be in contact with the neck are your thumb (in the dead center of the back of the neck) and your finger tips. Your hand should be postured in a C shape. IF your not postured this way, try it and get back to me.
how to i read the patterns? i dont know where to put my fingers or anything
