This shows John mcains true colors on this issue. He wants the government to know about EVERY person who has a gun. I would not be able to give a gun to my daughter without this prick stepping in if he had his way.
Restrictions are needed on all avenues of guns purchasing. Gun stores, gun shows, ordering catalogs, and private sale all need to be covered. There has to be background checks for EVERY sale of ANY type of gun no matter how small or what weapon is sold. It doesn't take the honest citizens' guns, it just deters gun crime, if you've done nothing wrong and have a clean mental and criminal background you've got nothing to worry about. Something has be done to lower the extreme U.S. gun crime rates.
That's nonsense, alpha. You're clearly not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
An AK 47, at all times, requires a special tax, fingerprints etc from your friendly government bureau-weenies. And there is no 'loophole', it's just private individuals selling their property to other private individuals. Furthermore, what deters gun crime are guns - if one were safer without guns then soldiers and cops wouldn't carry them, would they?
This is reasonable and necessary. It doesn't take guns from innocent people but helps deter gun crime. Without background checks criminals have a loophole around the safety laws of gun stores leading to further bloodshed. I've heard at gun shows where individuals hand over the money and carry the gun out. This has to stop because of high-powered weapons at gun shows. Imagine if the shooter and V-Tech had walked in with an AK-47. Create and enforce gun show background checks or that WILL happen.
