track 12

Ave Maria, maiden mild
Oh, listen to a maiden's prayer
For thou can't hear amid the wild
This thou, this thou can't
save amid, despair

We slumber safe until tomorrow
Though we by man outcast relieved
Oh, maiden, see a maiden's sorrow
Oh, mother, hear a suppliant child

Ave Maria

Ave Maria, gracia plena
Maria, gracia plena
Maria, gracia plena
Ave, ave dominus

Dominus tecum
Benedicta tu in mulieribus
Et benedictus
Et benedictus fructus ventris
Ventris tuae, Jesus
Ave Maria

  • U guys did know you can flag the video for misleading text....right?

  • This is Latin but Spanish did come from the Latin language afterall that is why u people that speak Spanish are called Latinos anyway David Archuleta he's amazing and has a beautiful voice and I love this song it's not to hard to sing along to

  • I'm impressed by all the ignorance i read in the comments. spanish obviously comes from latin, as all the other romantic languages, but that does not mean its the same, or that people who speak spanish will understand what a latin text means. Get ur facts right.

  • As do French, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian...

But they're not the same are they?

Would a Spanish speaker understand, "odi et amo. quare id faciam fortasse requiris. nescio, sed fieri sentio et excrucior."?

    No!

In Spanish, it's "Odio y amo. Por qué hago esto, quizá te preguntes. No lo sé, pero así me siento y sufro."

Pretty different! (Except the first 3 words...)

  • come on what country are you from if

    you confuse Spanish with Latin

    ignorance

  • lol i was just about to say that ;)

  • I'm sorry, the runner up description on their

promo does not fit this amazing phenomenal young artist. Jive needs to be fair to change that and give credit where it's due. He's "former" American Idol runner-up and Jive recording star David Archulelta. This is the way it should have been labeled.
