Spring morning
in ether
sees the fingertips
of first light
touch your face
and rejoice.
Sleep evades me
and my eyes
study you
as daylight
eventually reveals
your beauty
in full.
Summer day
we stroll
hand-in-hand
amongst musical
flower beds
as light
from yellow orb
turns the wings
of flying paper notes
translucent
and poetic words
soar on the breeze.
Autumn evening
light
begins to fall
like leaves on the wind
as we chase each other
through giant evergreens
riding on the back
of alabaster tigers,
whose ragged breathing
cuts into the still air
and exhilaration
fills beating hearts.
Winter night
dancing moonlight
illuminates
your face
and sleep evades me
as my fingertips
eventually reveal;
in full,
your delicate beauty
throughout
the remainder of dark night.
