Student Video: "The Creepy Guy"

Story: A girl is trying to study peacefully at the park, when suddenly a "creepy guy" comes along; he finally takes this opportunity to talk with his "perfect girl", Michelle, who he's been obsessing over in his class. Will he get the girl?

I need a better title (lol obviously), so feel free to give me some suggestions.

This was for a directing class assignment.

Directed, written, shot, and edited by me (Kiyo). I have to say... I'm just like that "creepy guy".

Both actors are drama students who volunteered. They were really great! They fit exactly the image that I wanted and there was no audition or anything! I totally lucked out.

Be sure to check out the outtakes at the end; the guy had a lot of hilarious ad-libs.

It was challenging for me to direct and concentrate on the cinematography at the same time, but luckily, the actors knew what to do from the script.

Shot on Panasonic DVX100A - only one camera was used. Thanks for the actors for doing many takes!

In any normal situation, I'd be surprised if a girl sat through that much awkwardness. She seems fairly normal in her reactions, a bit towards the nice end of the spectrum.

that kind of story makes me sad. it reminds me of when i was young and didn't know how to approach women. luckily there is the internet now so anybody can study pick up artist techniques and learn how to approach women succesfully.

This is so me! I did the exact same thing a few years back when I was still in school and the girl called me the "Creeiest person ever" and told me to "Stay away! Seriously!"

I think thats what happened, because I actually never got the courage to talk to her in person and I just imagined the whole thing in my head.
