I see that this commercial goes to show the fact that even Lincoln knew that he couldnt leave the South out to dry, and I am thankful he provided for the now amazing institution of higher learning that I now currently attend. Its a lot more than that guy Obama has given me.

Licoln was a dictator and a traitor to the U.S. Constitution. It wasn't a "civil war". The South wasn't trying to control the federal government, it merely wanted to be left alone. Our Founding Fathers believed in the right of a sovereign state in a free republic to secede if it was better for their state. These are United STATES, not territories. It wasn't for slavery, the South was being excessively taxed to suport the North. Freedom will always prevail.

It's a shame that a Southern university would honour a man like Lincoln who waged total war against the South, killed a quarter million Southerners, burned down countless Southern cities and towns. Do the Baltic peoples honour Stalin for conquering them and killing so many of their people? Do the Koreans honour the Japanese emperor? Why should we Southerners honour a tyrant and monster like Dishonest Abe?
