Super Mario Bros 1 VS 2 - Starman

A simple mix really for when you combine the two invincibility themes from Super Mario Bros and Super Mario Bros 2 (USA). The PCM Woodblocks goes rather well with the Noise Accompaniment. I kept the square waves from Mario 2 as they sounded richer. The Triangle Bass is left unaltered between the two versions. Remember to hit the HQ tab to hear it at a better quality.

This combination works nicely. Since the percussion in SMB1 uses the noise channel and the percussion in SMB2 (USA) uses the PCM (direct sound) channel, this would be quite possible. Good work.

@PeachToadstool Yeah. What I should've done was kept the main squares from SMB1 rather than SMB2. I tried overlaying the PCM channels from SMB2 and SMB3 but it doesn't quite work as the timing between SMB3 and SMB's 1 and 2 are a little different. Other than that, it wasn't bad for something out of boredom.

@saku201012299 Actually, Super Mario World was intended to be the fourth Super Mario Bros game in Japan, but the American title screen does NOT have it, even if the prototype has it.
