Music from the Thursday evening concert by Nigel North at the 2010 Lute Society of America Summer Seminar and Lute Festival at Case Western Reserve University. The "Ciacconna" is from a manuscript source that is not dated, but since it employs only eleven courses, it is likely that it was composed before 1720. The eleven-course lute Nigel North plays is based on a design by Hans Frei. It was built by Lars Jonsonn in 2005. Posted with permission of the performer. More information at:
