Capital City - 80's ITV series

Capital City was a flagship series for ITV originally broadcast in 1989 and 1990. It was made by Euston Films and Thames Television.

It followed the high-pressure lives and loves of traders, in an international bank called Shane Longman.

It ran for 2 series' and starred Jason Isaacs, William Armstrong, Joanna Kanska, Douglas Hodge, Rolf Saxon and Trevyn McDowell.

and they almost ended it after the first series but went on to do a second one

and sadly it never returned

i think it could be good if they did something like this again

The intro features Hannah Burgess, walking with Hudson Talbot III (HT3 in some episodes), head trader Declan McConnochie is briefly seen towards the end greeting Hudson.

great series - i remember those halcyon days of the 80's like they were just 20 years ago, lol ! I recorded the whole series when they did the re-run on UK Gold... so cool
