@tuffs70 It was released under the group name Starvation on Madness' Zarjazz label. Not a UB40 track at all. Features artists from Madness (Woody and Bedders), The Special AKA (Jerry Dammers and Dick Cuthell), The Beat or General Public as they were then known (Ranking Roger and Dave Wakeling) plus original members of The Pioneers. Only Ali and Robin Campbell of UB40 featured on the track.
Got no air play at all but gave Sir Bob and Midge Ure the idea for Band Aid and the rest is history.

It was Starvation by Starvation as far as I can remember.
It was out in 1985.

UB40 very nearly signed to the 2-TONE label,wonder if they had,would the sound have changed?
