RT's Jenny Churchill and Reason's Mike Riggs are on happy hour tonight to talk about a gun ad that compares Obama to Hitler and Stalin, the most extensive car crash, calls for the US Ambassador to Belgium to step down after he makes "anti-Semitism" comments, and a new planet that's being called "Earth 2.0".

  • I was hoping you would talk about the new planet that was found. Unfortunately it's 600 light years away. And Of course since getting there in anything less than 600 years would break all the laws of current physics. The only way we could get there in my opinion would require negative energy or negative matter if it exists to open a worm hole/warp drive.

  • Alyona Minkovski you are HOT!

  • I came here for Kepler, not a debate about retarded republicans trying to find reason to bash Obama.

5:00 <- click that to skip to Kepler-22b.

Actually, just go find another video. This is just sad.

  • Oops! Just more American bashing...

  • Ok!!

What has this video, anything to do with Kepler-22b!

    Almost nothing :(

  • Hhahahaha dude at end uhhh that makes me what to throw up

  • How do you suppose making something illegal is going to be relevant when you've ceded the authority of law by saying that you can violate any law you feel like?

How do you suppose you are going to regulate violent behavior by making a nonviolent action that has no victim a crime? Do you suppose the criminals will hand in their guns when they realize that guns are illegal? Do you suppose the drug cartels will stop shooting cops and trafficking narcotics if we tell them they can't own guns?

  • It literally would not be an exaggeration to say you have absolutely no idea how the Constitution of the United States works, would it? I'm guessing you're either not an American citizen or the American educational system has so thoroughly broken down that it is either not teaching students how the amendment process works or you are too retarded to be able to use Google.

  • @technate

The Constitution is indeed a piece of paper but upon that piece of paper is the foundational and Supreme law of the United States, which cannot legally be violated by any law drafted by any state or by the federal legislature short of a Constitutional amendment.

Further, those amendments do not occur "on a whim," they require the legislature to propose an amendment which must be ratified by 75% of all state legislatures before it becomes law. The executive isn't involved.

  • @technatezin

Here's what's wrong with what you just said.

If I was unable to track your gun and your ammunition, that would imply that you could have purchased it illegally.

If you were keeping a group of slaves, that would be illegal. If you were planning on doing something illegal with the gun anyway, how would making guns illegal stop the problem?

  • @Redfingers (cont.) If you give me a gun without keeping track of it and then also allow me unlimited access to an untrackable, anonymous source of ammunition how do you or anybody else knows what I'm going to do with it? I could use it to keep a group of slaves chained up in a factory under the threat of death and continuously working to supply me with cheap products to sell for profit for all you know.
