Every five days, on average, a woman is killed by her partner. Jailing the man is the only response to the most vicious cases. But is there another way to tackle domestic violence? Can violent men unlearn their behaviour? Across Australia, hundreds of men are joining new voluntary programs, which claim to help change their ways. Over a six-month period we follow three men, each at a different level on the scale of abuse, as they enter these programs. Can they remake themselves and save their relationships?

It's the name that's misleading. Changing men implies it is inherent. It's a provocative, misleading title.

A man who raises his hand against a Women is weak.

He is either mentally disturbed, clinically retarded or just plain weak of character. A person who uses violence as a means of controlling is weak, you feel angry beyond control? Get help, or do what I did when I was a kid, go to the Gym and work on yourself. Then go to school and work on your Brain, the combination of the two can change your life and it's your responsibility to be accountable for yourself, not someone else.

Most times it is men on women but it does happen to men too. Neither sex deserves domestic violence. Its a negative situation people should get out of asap thru outside help, by leaving or by charging your attacker via the law ect. Leaving it to continue will not usually sort out an individuals incapacity to behave in a civil and non-violent/threatening manner to their spouses/partners or any other person should they choose to assault a member of the public instead of nice and safe at home.
