I'm with you, friend, but I don't think he's attacking frutarians. I believe he's trying to stop an epidemic that has been perpetuated by the processed food industry. Stopping obesity is a noble cause. I hope he's successful in his ventures, as are you. You're both doing the same thing. In a different video, he said fruit is okay. He wouldn't lump sugar and fruit together, that's irresponsible. You both hate processed food, that's what I'm getting out of this.

You can eat fairly healthy at Panda Express. Steam veg, mushroom chicken or black pepper chicken.

-The liver, skeletal muscle, and fat tissue have insulin receptors that transport glucose into them, else glucose cannot enter these tissue/organ.

-Once in the liver, glucose is converted into glycogen as a storage form of glucose. When the body needs more glucose, glycogenolysis occur.

-Now connect the dots and you'll see "...how does the liver affect the amount of insulin?"

I'm confused doesn't milk have both fat and carbohydrates? Lactose is a carbohydrate after all.

There is extreme truth to what they say.

I am a fat guy, and I am now trying to lose weight, I try to stay under 2000 calories a day.

That according to my BMR would make me have some 500-1000 calories less a day than is needed to SUSTAIN my overweight size. So why am I not losing weight? I exercise every day. I bet my ass it's because of all the refined sugar and High Fructose corn syrup that is in all the food, the calories are "lying" on the packages. Because of this sugar epidemic.

I am not questioning Dr. Lustig's nutrition expertise but I wonder where Dr Lustig got his informations about the amount of Fat and Carbohydrates of so called fatty fruits (@2:37)? Of course those fruits tend to have rather low carb-values but Nuts for example (especially Peanuts) are high fat and quite high carb at the same time!

Fruit comes with a lot of fiber (especially the vegetables you ate with them) which causes you to break down the sugar in the fruit a low slower than an equal dose of table sugar. If you replaced that with 3000 calories of fibreless fruit JUICE, you will probably not gain the same results. It sounds like you were exercising a lot too which helps rationalize the 3k cal diet. Great job on the weight loss, we, saddly, need more people like you.
