@MugginsToadwort totally, agree - the whippiness makes thrusting and absetzen almost useless. though i would have thought, as a meyer man, that would have suited you? :p

Ha, I reacted at that as well. It looked more so as the blow Anders struck was on the back. Cool fight and great skills

@connorfinn2007 the rules used the "after blow", which allows the fighter receiving a hit one tempo (one step or one movement/cut) to counter a hit in order to nullify it. Matt Galas has written at length about this rule (its historical).

Nice fight, I'm not sure of the rules as I would have given Alex that unterhau at 4:14 sec as a total fight stopper if it had been a sharp as Anders head strike is almost 3/4 of a sec later and his sword was too far back when struck. to be a threat (if the sword had passed into his ribcage to the spine. They called it as a double...

@Rogertheshrubber1983 They are synthetic wasters from Knight Shop. Too whippy and light, but a better model is being released soon.

What are they using, this is very different from the foam and alluminium that I was used to?

just like a normal practice :)

I agree totally. However, having fought in the tourney, they definitely keep you fit... ;) On a serious note, we will need to find something stiffer eventually.
