@jedihunter176, The NES version is different from the DOS version. In NES you can play Japan which you cannot in DOS version.
The one above is the DOS version.

Hmm. I dont seem to remember any pollution in the Civ 1 I played. It might have been there, considering I only played it as a kid on the easiest mode, but meh.

@jedihunter176, it makes we wonder if the versions of Civ 1 differ as I tend to experience a pollution bug. Just wondering if you knew anything about that. Still a great game as far as Civ 1 goes but you literally have to conquer the map early on. That is one game I can't stop playing.

Huh? No...Im saying hes probably playing the NES/DOS version. There's a version of Civ 1 made specifically for Microsoft Windows.

@jedi, you can play Civ on windows XP just fine.

He probably has the NES version, and hes playing on an emulator.

Where you playing that on Windows Vista??
Yes correct it was with DosBox on Windows Vista (you saw the mouse cursor right? :) ) So it is the DOS version of Civilization run in DosBox on Windows Vista (now Windows 7)
