Probably my ideal lance: Daishis mixed with Longbows with custom weapon loadouts. Maybe a lance of 4 Mad Cats (originals) if I need a fast lance... Daishis with 3 Large Lasers and either a pair of Clan LBX 20's or Clan Gauss Rifles are some sweet mechs, and backed by Longbows with 4 Clan LRM20's and 2 CLRM15's per mech... :D (Plus a pair of large lasers for defense, and dealing with vehicles). Never skimp on the armor...

Never did like Victors. Yeah they're fast but their weapons bays are too spread out between types and not large enough. There's a reason Victor Steiner-Davion preferred the Dire Wolf over all other mechs including his namesake.

templars are nice, but victors are a lot more durable and cheaper. templars are much bigger targets than victors.

this mission's pretty easy once the templars show up to back you up.
