Court decision an all-out assault on freedom of speech

The Freedom Party (PVV) is shocked by the Amsterdam Court of Appeals decision to prosecute Geert Wilders for his statements and opinions. Geert Wilders considers this ruling an all-out assault on freedom of speech.

Geert Wilders: ''Apparently this is The Netherlands today. If you speak out you might be prosecuted. To participate in public debate has become a dangerous activity.''

''If I have to appear in court, not only I will be prosecuted, but also hundreds of thousands of Dutch citizens who reject the Islamisation of the West. In the Dutch Parliament only the Party for Freedom is willing to speak up for the preservation of our culture and our many freedoms.''

The Freedom Party leader now faces legal proceedings that will probably take years to conclude and will also involve enormous legal fees.

''We depend on small donations. The Freedom Party is the only party in Parliament that does not accept any government funding. This court decision jeopardizes the very existence of the Freedom Party. We simply cannot afford the enormous legal expenses.''

islam has evil and ill intent for all western country's. A few years ago, the world and the individual was not aware that this great evil was spreading throughout the globe, many are catching on, in some western countries it is almost to late. The worst political persusian for catching this now obvious fact are the left wing, liberal minded, political correct bunch, who still walking around crying multiculuralism and religious tolerance for anything islam. Wake up west, time to fight back!

@EmperorJ666 Are you prepared to believe that until a few years ago, Mr Wilders supported the EU and supported the idea of islamic immigration. It was not until he lost the trust of his political party (of liberals) that je chose to play the xenophobic anti-islam card. You can ignore that fact, or you can consider it. That is up to you.

@PaniWola: Mr Wilders HAS not solutions, he has only complaints. To this I would add that Mr Wilders belonged to the political party who is mainly responsible for the immigration of tens of thousands of muslim workers, be they legal or illegal. Mr Wilders has served the interests of employers - not employees - for virtually all of his political life. Now that party has abandoned him, he seeks to find backing in those discontent with the immigration of islam. Mr Wilders is serving self-interest.

@PaniWiola No, I don't "understand" that you don't want any muslims in your neighbourhood; other than that you don't want this for sheer xenophobia. Mind you, I am all against islam as I am all against catholicism and its idiotic ideas. Yet my claim to freedom of thought (and belief) includes other people's freedom of thought (and belief). What remains is the law, who puts limits to our acts rather than our thoughts. My problem is how to defend freedom of acts before the (democratic) law.

@mcouzijn Of course it is good to FULLY agree with Mr. Wilders solutions, before it is too late! We do not want to have people who consider themself as 'muslims' - do you understand it? - do you accept our rights to not accept islam in our life ?! I lived in Netherlands a few years and i fall in teraz as i see what happens to Netherlands a christian roots country because of invasion of dark demonic islam.
