@pasofinofever its gonna be faster with a chop because it gives the boat somethin to grab. 81 is very impresive the speed record for lake and bays labbed was 80 with a 250 but they had a half tank of gas.

You may not believe it but my lake and bay boca grande saw 81 mph on a 250 pro xs 25 mirage labbed,,,,,,,3 gallons of gas no platform and pretty empty inside no crosswind a slight against wind due to the speed..... I found out its much faster (between 5 or 6 mph if you due this on a decent 2 foot chop,,it just glides over the water all you see is the prop and rear of hull touch the water occasionally (less drag) My Lake and Bay rocks

At the time of this video it had a 225 merc now it has a 250 merc xs approximately 76 depending on fuel and trolling motor and now it has a poleing platform but it runs great .

I guess its a matter of personel choice, I guess if you wanted a nice luxury car you would not choose a volkswagon over a cadilac.

I know of several L&B's that have gone down, what coolaid are you drinking?
The only flats boat I know of where you get your feet wet just by standing on the rear deck.
As far as going and going....The old ones were good but the new ones fall apart.
