Here is a simple and easy way to make homemade beef jerky. I use a Nesco Pro food dehydrator with adjustable temperature settings.
The recipe is simple.
4 cups of Soy Sauce
1 pound of Dark Brown Sugar
1 bottle of Liquid Smoke
Coarse Ground Black Pepper to taste.
Use your beef of choice. I use Bottom Round Roast and have it cut on a slicer by the meat cutter on the #4 setting. I mix my marinade and add the beef. I let it set for about 2 hrs. I then load up the trays and set the temp setting on my dehydrator to 160 deg. I then dry the beef for 8 to 9 hours. When finished I let the trays cool down and I store the jerky in ziplock bags.
