@Romania4trutine To the untrained eye, it might look like she's just standing there vibrating at different speeds. For people who have studied her format, there's an amazing amount of VERY difficult muscular activity going on. Something akin to rubbing your belly and tapping your head while flipping pancakes and doing your taxes. She's awesome like that.

I would dearly love to take one of her workshops. So many professional dancers have completely relearned and rehashed their technique as a result of taking her courses. Check out her workshops website which includes testimonials from Rachel Brice, Sharon Kihara, Amy Sigil, and Aziza.
She is a highly respected instructor in the industry for many, many reasons.

Belly Dance Technique and Belly Dance Style are two very different things. Many Belly dancers have style but no solid foundation of technique. Suhaila definitely has technique and is widely recognized and respected for such. I don't always like her style or agree with her interpretation and representation of the music, but style is more relative to culture and personal taste. She's still quite skilled

Just because you don't like her technique DOES NOT mean she doesn't have technique. I have studied bellydance intensively and I IN FACT know what to look for in a bellydancer. Take one of her weeklong workshops and then you may be in a position to critique her style.

Aw, some videos get all the stupid commentors.
Suhaila is one of the best, most expressive bellydancers in the world. She is one of the few instructors or performers who is currently moving our artform forward. Her experiments are SO brave, her interpretations are fresh, and she OWNS every movement she makes. She expressing anger and strength and triumph while other bellydancers stay safe behind their little coquettish act. She's not just a dancer - she's an amazing story teller.
