RC Plane Hits 100 mph

P51d Mustang model "Miss America" reaches speeds of 100 mph. This was captured using a FlyCam one 2 camera, and the flight data was recorded by e-Logger systems, capturing airspeed, battery pack voltage, altimeter, motor rpm and motor temp.

Simply put:

Original = Bad and weak

Modified = Good and powerful

Hardly put:

Modifed, the propeller spins at 20 000 rpms.

Versus 5000 rpms originally.

I finally breaked the 100MPH barrier in a stright line with a small Lancair ES. Axi 2814/12 and four cells with a 9x6 prop. Originally it is a geared brushed 400 motor with 9.6V battery - it could hardly take off LOL :-))
