well they say it can't but it can if we ignore it and it not so much 'Overflows" it just gets to a point where it pushes into the groud water and it will fuck up a lot of streams and rivers

first time seeing the moutians,came through the 90 pass and the first thing i saw befor entering butte was a mountian completely stripped and the valley between it and another peak was filled in with what was left over from the striped side,what a shame.then got a look at butte omg this was a fucked up looking place.I know strip mining is its bread and butter but look at the cost. armpit of montana.

There was a show on the History Channel recently about this. They were talking about, among other things, how people pay to heal themselves in an abandoned uranium mine. Strange.

The "healing" mine is actually about 15 miles north of the Berkeley, in the town of Basin, which is also home to an artists' refuge. Definitely an interesting place to visit.
