VICTORIA - Another bitterly cold forecast is in store for Vancouver Island tonight, but even though additional emergency shelter beds have been added, some of them are empty. 75 more beds have been added in Victoria through the extreme weather protocol and ten of them went unused last night because some people chose to sleep on the streets. That doesn't mean that the agencies trying to help are giving up, in fact, they are appealing tonight for your help. The "Salvation Army" is asking for toques, mittens, sweaters and jackets and "Our Place" is asking for sleeping bags.
