Old School Lodge Horoeka Dannevirke New Zealand

Old School Lodge is in a former country school at Horoeka under the Puketoi Ranges and 2km from the Waihi Falls. The school was built over 100 years ago. We have a standard size school summer pool with changing sheds, tennis court (equipment provided), flat playing field. Accommodation is bunkroom style all in one camping with a huge table in the seperate dining / lounge room. Light the fire for warmth in the winter and to heat the water for the shower. A Zip in the kitchen provides hot water for cooking and dishes. Plenty of parking, places for tents; and kids to play. Hire the whole lodge and extra family can camp on the lawn. A real family place with plenty of equipment supplied. Locally there are horse and gig hire available for special occasions and information on other tracks and treks can be provided. As this lodge is attached to a farm sometimes farm activities can be observed. Wander amongst the chooks and roosters in the gardens. Hire for your How to host a murder weekend, or play some poker (chips provided) or have a board game night. Consider having your casual Country wedding here. Cater yourself or we can arrange everything. Closest villages Pongaroa and Weber. Closest supermarket is Dannevirke 43km away. 35 mins to Akitio Beach from bottom of gravel road. Minimal 027 cellphone coverage only. Satellite Freeview TV.
