This movie taught me more about life than alot of other films. It's strong themes of innocence lost, individualzation and the pursuit of revenge has stayed with me ever since I was young and I am glad I found this story again!!

(3/3) I am now 23 years old and this will be a film that will forever stay with me until the day I die.

(2/3) I had actually found it on e-bay and bought it. Once it arrived I re-watched it about 5 times. Later that day I called my grandmother to tell her what I had found and asked if she rememered it. She told me she would always remember this film and that, seceretly, it had hurt and disturbed her that a seven year old child would be enthralled and obsessed with this story. She said only a child who really understood true isolation would be so in love with such a tragic tale.

(1/3)I discovered this film at a very very young age. I found it in a local video rental store in my town. I was seven. I fell madly in love with this movie. Anytime my grandmother would take me to the video store, I'd always rent this again. I was a very lonely child. My mother was in prison for a long time and I didn't get along with other children. Then one day, we went to rent this and it was gone. I had forgotten about this movie for a long long time until about 5 years ago.

Noooo! Poor wolf...
-
@SecksTheSniper I think that was their goal - he was trying so hard to become a wolf he became something that was neither ram nor wolf. He literally became a freak of nature, a monster. ^0^

Lesson six: Do not pretend to be something you are not.
Lesson seven: Do not go against your nature.
Lesson eight: Life is not fair.
Lesson nine: It is better to stay in the known than it is to venture into the unknown.
Lesson ten: No Good Deed Goes Unpunished.
The narrator at the end was the legendary Hitoshi Takagi who also did the 1978 version of Galaxy Express 999, which happens to be my other favorite anime.

@UnemployedBlackGuy I never knew it was the same person, but I love both movies and he did a great job in both. Thanks for pointing that out.
