  • What a great video, although I do feel the driver could have got more out of the bus if he had been more experienced.

  • shortly into the clip you will see signs that say "40" on the approach to the motorway.

  • These only go 75 don't they?

  • There's always been a lot of fibbing and exaggeration about the top speed of a Lynx. I've driven several and can confirm top speed is anything between 55 and 70, depending on how the engine is tuned and what gearbox and differential arrangement they have.

  • if thats me i would put my foot down to 80mph,ADAM D JOHNSON

  • Won't do 80

  • What a sound when it's up cruising along, that whine takes me back a few years. I used to regularly drive one of the ex-travel WM lynxs that deCourcey in Coventry bought, think the one I used E925 EOG?? they didn't half shift though those lynxs, cracking buses, and nice and warm in the winter!!!

  • @wmtlynx

and the legal top speed on the motorway for such a vehicle is ?? and all new buses are governed by a speed restrictor to 60..... i'll be driving mine tonight 11c

  • I always misses those Lynx buses even the Thamesway ones

  • ok to clear this up my father is a long serving twm driver (44yrs) and has driven all the vehicles twm ever had i remember i used to go to work a lot with me dad and remember in 1990 him driving a brand new lynx with 180 miles on the clock he was bringing it back "special" to garage and managed to get a touch over 85mph on the clock but it was brand new and yes it rattled like hell in them days, dad says they are stil the fastest around especially the ones that have been re built

  • If it did, it would probabally shake to pieces and the driver would get a ticket!
