As request by some of my Subscribers, an example of a cord wrap for our Becker BK-2. How after the purchase of our Micarta scales the BK-2 may not need a cord wrapped handle, but it makes a great example. Para cord wrapping your knife handle can improve the grip and also absorb shock from chopping with larger heavier blades. It also a great way to store extra cord for your treks.

  • Hey, I followed these instructions and it came out awesome. Maybe a table tutorial next time, I almost didn't catch a few points, but I figured out the tie. I have a black BK-2 with black paracord, looks SWEET! Thanks Adam!

  • @NathanHaleLives Thanks for the feedback and for watching! Glad the video worked well for you.

  • i took 6 pills of ambien before watching and i swore for a second i was enlisted and you were teaching me how to knot

  • @SIurm LOL

  • Thank you so much, I was wondering how to wrap my new knife because the cord always ends up slipping. Now that's gonna be tight.

  • @sunndrac Glad it worked well for you! Thanks for watching.

  • On knives with thicker handles, I will remove the inner strands from the 550 cord before wrapping. Still help tremendously with shock absorption, but adds a fraction of the size.

  • worked great thanks!

  • Awesome! The cheap-ass wrapping of my machete came loose and now it has a perfect paracord wrapping. Thank You so much for this great tutorial!

  • you like hedgehog sheaths huh?

  • I didn't go through all the previous comments so I might be asking something that has already been asked, my apologies if I am. If you like the grip size of your knife and don't want to increase it but still want to cover a slick manufactured grip, can you just remove the 7 strands of inner cord and use the shell in the same way? Great videos, new fan and subscriber.

  • after watchin this video i have 550 wrapped my BK2 handle and sheath and the same on my BK3 Tactool. thanks

  • @NathanHaleLives Sorry, I was not clear, my bad. The Bk-2 sheath I was talking about was the vertical leg strap version. Thanks again.

  • @Equip2Endure No prob! You really do your research and it shows. Wish I could come out and check out your live demonstrations. Also, you did that paracord sheath for the BK-2. Is there someway you could do a video on how you paracorded that sheath and the specific names of the pieces that you used (like that plastic piece you used to hook the Bk-2 belt loop to the velcro belt loop). Perhaps, even a listing of places in which to buy these materials. Thanks for your time :)
