Shaved Persian Cat Janelle having fun

Look at her dashing around! She is sooo much more *active* without all the fur! I think she must feel like there´s a big weight off her back so she´s making the best out of it. She is also cleaning herself much more now. :)

Das Problem mit Janelle ist, das sie es absolute *hasst* gekämmt zu werden. Gib mir keine Tips, weil ich schon *alles* ausprobiert hatte, was es im Universum gibt. Es geht einfach nicht mit ihr, deshalb wird sie alle 6 Monate rasiert. Freundin Anneke (wo Janelle jetzt wohnt), hat natürlich das gleiche Problem jetzt. Aber so schön wie ein kleiner Löwe geschoren ist sie auch happy, besonders weil wir ja auf der warmen Insel Lanzarote wohnen!

It could be my head, but my friend's himalayan seems to be more active after a shave as well. Although the cat hates going to get her hair cut, she throws up waaaay less when she gets shaved.

Seriously, I think it must literally be a huge weight off their shoulders. Although Janelle looks so much more beautiful in "full fluff" (she is now, and she´s so gorgeous!), living on a tropical island with temps of up to 40C in the summer, it´s much cooler for her and she does appear to enjoy her short summer coat. :)
