Thanks for the video. Just installed my i7 and this is the only video i found giving me comfort on the amount of force required to put down the latch. This was my first ground up build and i was definitely sweating when i finished with this sucker (and I thought changing guitar strings made me nervous, lol)

Thanks for this video, it put my mind at rest. I just installed an i7 950 and the latch was pretty tough, I felt very uncomfortable pulling it down.

Can I ask you something mate? I got the same mobo and it had 5 bent pins on the cpu socket. I installed the cpu anyway and booted a few times but nothing shwed up on screen. i returned the mobo and will hopefully get a replacement. do you think the cpu was damaged?

It's a great board, affordable board. You should be able to get up to about 3.5GHz or so, if you have a good HSF.

Does the Core i7 920 fits with my ASUS motherboard? because this motherboard I have can run with Sockets AM2+ and AM3. and its compatible processors is Athlon 64, Phenom II X3, Athlon 64 FX, Athlon 64 X2, Athlon X2, Phenom II X4.
And it´s all from AMD

No, you'd need to buy an i7 compatible motherboard.
