@therccarmad Its called a "REVIEW". It points out the good AND the bad.
If you do not want to see a review that shows the bad and areas for improvement (why most watch REVIEWS) then simply do not troll and do not watch. You will not hurt my feelings.
If you want to see fluff and nothing but good then pick up a magazine or watch another channel.
I WILL KEEP REVIEWS HONEST, UNSPONSORED AND NOT BOUGHT OUT. Dont like it, you pick what you watch.

@MrMustang210, Both parties will be satisfied as iOS users have the option to have their fancy radio, and those whom don't want to use the overly fancy TQ1 don't pay 200-300 for a controller they will never use.

@MrMustang210, You know, I used to think that way until I figured that if they were spoiled enough to get the RC, they would already have or be given the iPod/iPhone with it. So what good does that make? And if it were so easy to unlock like you said about friends having iOS devices, then what good does it do if average joe finds a bud to unlock it? So it comes full circle. The lock down is unnecessary and inefficient. Just throw a 2.4 on it and offer the TQ1 separate.

i really like the diffuser built in. i just dont know if its worth the money around here.

@MrMustang210, Why not just give a normal 2.4GHz controller and offer the TQ1 separately?
They overcomplicated it intentionally.

@mediarocker543 I think your just exagerating this whole "consummerism" thing it seems that this would only affect people that cant afford to have a idevice or have poor friends, yes its not ideal to NEED a ipod to do this but it is what it is. there are plenty of things that do the same thing. I bet if it came with the ipod, people would bitch to " Why do I need to pay extra for something I already have" it works both ways

@MrMustang210, You're missing my point. This is a ready to run kit. You should not need an MP3 player to operate a READY TO RUN. That makes as much sense as needing to buy a coffee maker to turn on your car. Yeah the display is cool, yeah it's an awesome idea. But I should be able to drive my RC car the FULL 100MPH out of the box without an iPiddle. We've come full circle. It's not necessary and it's forced consumerism. It's funny how people just buy into it. That's my point.

@MrMustang210, Nope. None of us are a fan of the iPhad. But your comparison does make sense. Here's the thing though, think of this way. You buy a 427r and you have no limiter. You buy a Mustang GT, you have a limiter. Think of the XO-1 as a 427r. It's already modified, ready to run. But now you're making it a GT by putting a limiter on there. You paid 15K+ more for a limited car that supposed to decimate.... Does that make sense? You might as well have bought a GT and modified.

Traxxas is GENIUS for teaming up wtih Apple. All the suckers who want this kit have to buy the Apple device if they don't already have... HAHA. Already seen reviews where the suckers are saying, quote " just got my new XO and my NEW I device.... lol "
Seriously who wouldn't want to be teamed up with APPLE. If Apple agreed to endorse Squirrel we would see Apple shit all over Squirrel's site.

@arlo12345678910 Actually, I would tell Apple the same thing I have told other manufacturers who want to sponsor me and my channel.

This channel is unbiased and sponsor FREE. It will stay that way. I will use what I want and say what I want, as the only way to do that, is to remain sponsor FREE.
Ive traded freedom for higher views and more money with less operating costs.
