  • is there somehow i can copy this on my DVD burner?

  • @svetaswan Early 80's was late the late 70's. The early 70's was the like the late 60's. The early 60's were like the late 50's. LOL!

  • With the music playing in the background, this sounds more like an '80s meet than a '90s meet - lol. But, as the '90s become more and more distant, I realize that the early '90s were fairly similar to the late '80s. (Take mullets & curly perms, for ex.)

I tell you one thing: I miss '80s and '90s gymnastics - that's for sure.

  • I don't think her form was as "wretched" as you're making it out to be. No, it wasn't Soviet or Russian quality, but it was average to above-average for a world-class gymnast of that era. Really - were the Romanians' form that much better?

And she threw some tough stuff in that routine.

She became more elegant on beam & floor as she got older. I think her beam & floor work as a U.S. gymnast had lovely style.

  • that seems a little low. wow, a lot of gymnasts used to do full in double backs for dismounts.

  • That was a full in dismount, wasn't it?

  • Score was fair when you consider the big wobbles she had, other wobbles, low quality of execution, and shoddy/unimaginative low beam work she displayed. Her form was wretched and some of her splits didn't even hit 180 (very uneven straddle jump she displayed). Beam was never he best event. FX and Vault were.
