7 mm finescale (O gauge) Devon Belle train comprised of scratch-built Merchant Navy or Battle of Britain class loco hauling a rake of 'Golden Age Models Ltd' Pullman cars. Video taken on a layout being built. Whilst it is yet to be named, the layout is to represent an SR junction (and the branch to a harbour) on the line that was never built between Dorchester and Honiton - westward extension of Castleman's Corkscrew. For the morbidly curious, the squeak from Royal Mail results from the brass-strip pick-up touching a driving wheel flange-face. I've had 2 attempts at trying to stop it, so far. Grrr! Hopefully 3rd time lucky!!!!! The Pullman buffs will note that the rake could have been 8 as was usual for Devon Belle excursions, however the gradient of the line meant Royal Mail just about coped with six on, whilst Fighter Command slipped badly. Rock instrumental fans should recognise excerpts from 'Paleface' aka 'The Stranger' despite it being rendered by yours truly.
Very impressive layout on the way by the looks of it! Was that an H&M Duette I spotted there?

@JimTLonW6. I'll pass your kind comment on to (the builder) Rob; gives me the opportunity to remind him he hasn't named the layout yet! H&M Duettes literally take some beating! I wouldn't be without mine as they provide an excellent indication of how free-running a (7mm finescale) loco chassis and power-train are, by virtue of the minimum amount of power available in Low Resistance mode.

A somewhat better quality version using new video capture gear.
