Some of you guys can't appreciate the the robot uses a traditional webcam to recognize the images as notes.

Kudos to team 1986. I can't imagine the programming you guys had to do.

I played this robot today at a robotics tournament. (Cult of Personality - Expert)
I did great and was winning till i forgot about the ending of the song and forgot to play xD!!!

Its awesome though. Props

By the way good job today in the alliance we almost had em.

well i modded my guitar hero 3 disk, so it would hit every note in every song but... downside it doesn't activate star power nore me =( my bot hit 100%,264,594 1240 streak :)

This is a much different task than a "bot" in the traditional gamers meaning of the word. This is doing actual camera vision of the TV screen, interpreting the image, and physically playing the guitar with mechanisms. Lots of opportunities for errors, not really like an electronic "bot."

If it was a true bot, that required the game to be modded as well, it would hit everything.
