@dspy2 You're calling this ridiculous?Well your mother may adore them. Probably as well as all the people who watch them doing little tricks for them. But I bet the orcas themselves don't give a damn about your mother's love! Because your mother will never be able to replace their real mother, their real families. In my opinion it's ridiculous to try and pretend doing that.

i've never visited a marine park and i never will. i don't believe the industry puts marine life first. it puts $ first. we need another way, a better way, to offer opportunities for people to gain appreciation and understanding of animals like orcas... one that doesn't harm them and one that properly respects them (e.g. not doing tricks for crowds)--one that is limited by their terms.

orcas are like humans; they do not mate with those within the same pod - they meet orcas from other pods to mate with. However, SEA fucking WORLD makes the family members mate with one another...

This one of the reasons why I have joined the advocacy in preserving the wild and natural lives of the Orcas! I realized that they are not really that different from humans! And yet, we ransacked and destroyed not only their natural habitat but also wrecked their families! We humans are shameless bastards!
