This is a Saito FA-180 4 stroke glow that I converted to electronic ignition and Walbro carb. I used WT-456-1 with a modified venturi from 6.5 mm original to 7 mm. It idle solid from 1650-2000 RPM's . WOT: 8700-8800 RPM's and spins a APC 16 x 10 prop.Ignition is Rcxel running on a 4.8v battery.(my 6v was dead)
It has quick reponse from idle to WOT and all in between.
It will run with original carb but I wanted to have a pumped carb and accelerator pump.
Runs great. sorry for the short video but what you see in 2.5 min will be same on 10 min.
Thank you
Adrian

  • I will try to make another... better version. I do not have this engine any more. But I have another FA 180 BK. Soon I will have it done, I will take a video with all components and how to mount it.

  • Any news on the new FA-180 ? What did you change ?

  • Hi Sir,

I like to find out more about your conversion. Could you share some pictures of your conversion, especially the configuration of the walbro carb to the stock manifold.

I'm looking forward to convert my FA-180 too.

You power output is good. 8700rpm with 16x10 prop gives 7.6kg Static Thrust (2.79hp)
