This is a 1980s logo for Walt Disney Home Video. This particular version was featured on Australian home videos of Walt Disney that were distributed by Roadshow Home Video. I think it's also on UK releases of Walt Disney as well.

The music is a disco arrangement of When You Wish Upon a Star, and was arranged by Frank Gari.

FUN FACT (courtesy of disneyfan85) - This was originally from the 1981-1983 version of the TV series The Wonderful World of Disney when back then it was simply called 'Walt Disney'

  • The theme song was also used in 2012 Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment Blu-ray Disc PAL Releases distributed by Roadshow Entertainment including The Princess Diaries, High School Musical 3: Senior Year, The Cheetah Girls One World, Tangled and Hannah Montana: The Movie, accompanied by the 2006 Walt Disney Pictures 3D CGI logo or Disney Channel Original Movie All-Stars logo.

  • In the 80s Rank were the early distributors for Walt Disney Video in the UK while Roadshow were the distributors for Australia this was used for the US TV airings of Disney while outside North America this ident were used for videos between 1981-1986
