Some unseasonable weather at South Shileds beach, 21/10/07. Digital timelapse footage taken with a Canon EOS300D, and a Meade telescope head which is easy to buy and adapt.

  • Nice job, I used to live in shields and you have that beach looking quite inviting.

I also have a 300D, what settings did you use?

  • I use a pclix lt100 to trigger the camera to take a photo every 5 seconds. The pictures were taken at full resolution. My 300D broke though, which they are prone to doing after about 12,000 cycles, so I now use a 400D.

  • This is great - how did you move the tripod - was it manually or mechanically?

  • This video highlights how the beach is being wasted. All the unemployed people in South Shields and the beach is virtually empty.

  • Thats so cool thanks
