On Sunday 24th April 2011, the Scottish Railway Preservation Society ran 2 railtours round the Forth Circle (via Alloa and Sterling) using A4 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley. Having been stabled at the SRPS's home at Bo'ness following its outing on the Great Britain IV tour the loco was used for branch services on Good Friday (22nd) and then had a day off before the tours. All shots (except the last one) were taken on (or before) the morning tour. Initially she is seen leaving Bo'ness station (hauled by a West Coast Railway Company class 37) en route to Manuel Junction. She is then seen hauling the empty rolling stock over Linlithgow Viaduct ready to start the tour at Linlithgow. The following shots are at Burntisland where the line runs along the edge of the Forth. We then see the tour at Culross, where again the line runs along the side of the Forth. Next shot is between Alloa and Sterling (I think) and the final morning shot just before Linlithgow. The final shot is of the evening tour terminating at Inverkeithing at approx 19:20.
Thanks to Mr G Scott, whose camera can be heard constantly clicking away for providing transport for the 'chase'.
