I put some sugarwater feeders out in the fall. We had about 1 week of 70 degree temps and they bees were really active. I don't keep bees... These bees are from local hives; possibly feral bees. I caught a worker and started her on some honey and she told the others hahaha!

  • I am feeding mt bees in a chicken waterer and I am currently using rocks but we were considering using marbles to keep them from drowning due to the depth of the chicken waterer.

Thanks for your input. Im trying to profect some kind of a design to open feed bees.

  • @thebigasspimp Over this winter i worked on some new feeding methods too! I will make videos when it actually gets warm enough for bee activity!

  • Just curious what are those glass pieces in the base?

  • @thebigasspimp They are glass beads to prevent bees from drowning and give them places to stand on to drink. They are docrative beads for fish bowls and other things. You can get them at the dollar store or anywhere.

  • Thank you for doing your part to help save the Honey Bees. If 1/3 of the US did this the feral population would be greatly increased, and our bee issues would be greatly reduced. Thanks for sharing, but mostly for doing your part!

    Peace,

    JT the Bee Guy
