Praise to him, the font of all our wisdom.
Long to live, the ruler of our farm.

Replace the word 'Napoleon' with 'Kim Jong Il' and you have an average day in North Korea.

As someone from the communist block, I can tell you this song sends shivers down my spine every time I see it, and the ending of the film brings tears to my eyes. I am not sure about Russia, but Slovakia did really end just like this film. We have managed to break free... and we have new government.

Man, such an evil message, but to a really catchy beat, I gotta admit.

I get a chill down my spine and I've never lived in a country from the Communist bloc. It's how the music swells and slowly pans up to reveal Napoleon clothed that the dread and the spine tingling horror really comes in. Then to ease the pressure, the camera cuts away to show us that no one is watching this film, and then it returns us to viewing the film in a different manner than we had a few seconds prior. Heavy-handed, but intriguing editing.
