As part of its 2007 world tour, the A380 flies from Montreal, Quebec to Florida for a two-day visit, landing on the morning of 13 November at Orlando International airport. A formal welcome is organised with speakers from Airbus Americas, Aviation Authorities, the city of Orlando and Orange County. All the speakers rejoice at the arrival of the A380, the future of aviation, in an airport, which is one of the most sought after destinations in the world with more than three millions visitors per year.
Stressing the readiness of the airport to receive the A380, several officials successively declare the day Airbus A380 Day in Orlando. Gary Sain, President and CEO of Orlando and Orange County CVB, sums it up: As the number one tourist destination for families in the world and number two for conventions, it is only fitting that we have the A380. We trust we will see in the not so distant future many Airbus A380s crisscrossing the ocean, bringing thousands of new visitors to experience what no other destination can offer. We are honoured to have Airbus here today with us and we thank Airbus for having added yet another superlative to our travel industry.
No visit to Orlando is complete without Mickey Mouse, so the oversize mouse makes an appearance to welcome the A380 and provides a light conclusion to the ceremony.
The following day sees a stream of visitors including a large number of officials, Airbus suppliers but also employees of Airbus Miami Training Centre and some families, curious to see the incredible plane. Among those, Alma Scherer, 90 plus, who has come with her family is awed and intrigued by her first real sight of the large airplane. Its amazing, she says. I enjoyed the visit but I cant believe it gets off the ground.
Her family has no such qualms about flying it. Its fantastic, so much room. We have already decided which seats we would like to get with all the legroom. And you can walk around! We would love to travel on it, they sigh wistfully.
Some of the most eager and enthusiastic visitors are young kids age 9, who are unreserved in their appreciation of the plane. Its very interesting, they exclaim. They know all the facts about the A380, the size, the two decks, the number of passengers and want to see the flight deck and cockpit particularly. I think it is the most amazing aircraft I have ever seen and will probably ever see, says one of them. They would love to pilot the aircraft, it would be so cool! In the cabin, they take pictures of everything, try every seat and test all the television screens to the amusement and delight of the staff. Theirs is the last visit and the A380 closes its doors ready to leave the following morning to fly back to Montreal and from there back to France.

@comsfan09 Not only did Viet-Nam, Cambodia, Laos, parts of Thailand and China belonged to France for a period of about 100 years, but there are also currently living in France about 1.2 million immigrants from Asia. So, yes, there are indeed millions of "Asian looking" people who speak French. As well as many "African" and "Arab" looking ones. Most of them even have a French passport or were born in France.
