Boomtown Rats made this song after an episode in the United States. 16-year-old Brenda Ann Spencer fired at children playing in the school playground with a big gun.
When the police afterwoods asked her, why she did it, she just answered: 'I don't like Mondays'.
I know that this movie is NOT truthful to the real story, but that was not what I wanted to do. This movie is made from inspiration from the song and the story behind.

The Truth....she killed two people and injured nine others at Cleveland Elementary School, which was located across the street from her home.. She did not run riot around the school she shot from her own home....She fired 30 rounds, It was a 2.2 semi auto riffle.. Her dad bout her the riffle for her birthday as a present.. (bad really but she wanted a radio).. The reason this song came about is due to the fact when people asked why here simple reply was Cause i don't like mondays,.
