  • @Mysterwright I agree with you. However, back in '85, the WWF paired flashy pop celebrities with some solid wrestling. Today, RAW does a decent job (usually) with bringing in the celebs, but for the most part, the wrestling sucks.

  • I was @ this event in the Nassau Coliseum. I still have the ticket stub. It came across a million times better on TV. I love the opening video with the song, its so perfect to define its "time". The best time of wrestling, the 80's. The 90's brought crap.

  • @charmer711 -actually SNME was not every weekend. it aired around 4 or 5 times a year in the time slot where SNL airs.

  • @Jonwood74 Yes, i agree. The 80's were the best years of my life.

  • @Skywalker567 If you find that tape, please upload the video. I'd watch them all.

try crazymax.org or ioffer.com complete set for cheap.

  • Back in the day I was such a mark for this stuff...lol. I was a 10 year old wrestling addict. Man, the 80's were a great time to be a kid.

  • I remember seeing an ad for the 1st SNME in the TV Guide. I was 13 years old and I was a huge, huge wrestling fan since 1979. I really didn't know what to expect when I saw the ad but I was very excited about it. Before SNME, there were rarely major matches on TV, especially title defenses, and I didn't have cable which aired the MSG matches on MSG. This was a very exciting time. I think I still have the 1st SNME on VHS somewhere. Haven't watched it in more than 20 years.

  • where can i find full episodes of this? Can anybody help?

  • Nice to see Cyndi Lauper easy to forget she was an avid wrestling supporter in the mid 80s
