@BoomersGold , Thanks for the information, we would all benefit to know the true history. Steve Jobs contribution has to include leadership and direction. He seems to me to be a definition of a CEO . Woz says Jobs was lucky to have Woz in the early days but Woz was so lucky to have Steve for all he has now.

Steve Jobs an Ultimate All Time uncompromising CEO/COO/Chairman (in his last days battling cancer)

The beauty I hear is this..."...amplify human ability"...wow! :) Thank you Steve Jobs for thinking the way you do...it has challenged people to think beyond, and above what you invented/inspired...propelling us on a continuum forward! :) The philosophy of man's ongoing goal for improvement., encapsulated here. :) I was 17 in 1981, writing Basic programs on an Apple computer...imagining...what could I do with this computer gadget?! :) Sparking imagination is really what it is about! :)

Not quite. Wozniak engineered the Apple II all on his own. The product design for the Apple II was primarily handled by a company (that Apple had hired) called 'Frogdesign', which was led by Hartmut Esslinger.

Jobs' only contribution to the product design was his choosing of the colour of the casing, which to be honest, wasn't that much of a factor in the Apple II's popularity and success with its consumers. As with almost all of Apple's products, Jobs' main role was to market them.

He was the engineer, but Jobs led the product design. Both needed each other to build the ][.
