Colin Powell Endorses Obama, Condemns GOP anti-Muslim Slurs

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell endorses Barack Obama and condemns his Republican Party for the Anti-Muslim bigotry and slurs.

Powell denounced the inaccurate suggestions by some Republicans that Obama is a Muslim, and that - by implication - there was something wrong with a Muslim running for the U.S. presidency.

"He's not a Muslim," said Powell, but "what if he is?"

"I'm troubled by the fact that within the party we have these kinds of expressions" about Muslims, said Powell, who was the country's first black secretary of state. "We have got to stop polarizing ourselves."

The republican party breed a seed of hate into the hearts of Americans associating terrorists to a whole religion creating fear to push their agendas just like Hitler did in his regime. It is about time that someone like Colin Powel stand up against his own party and condemn Anti-Muslim smears. I ask the same question as Powel "So what if Obama was a Muslim?"
