My Silk Painting students explore cold wax, silk habotai and silk chiffon to create fabulous designs on their very first day of silk painting. I was so proud of them, such marvellous art!

The one-day workshop covers:
-- learning about different types of silk
-- assembling the wooden frames
-- attaching silk to the frames with different types of pins
-- blending and merging silk dye colours on the silk
-- using cold wax to create shapes and to use as barriers for the dyes
-- discussion on steam setting the silk scarves
-- discussion on washing and care of handpainted silk
-- oh - and we had lots of fun and laughter all day too :-)
