And their reason for kidnapping the boy was???!!!!

The only problem with the episode is how nonchalant everyone is after this happens. The kid isn't concerned with the kidnapping at all after he gets home - just that his friends know he is a virgin (unrelated to the kidnapping). Not only that, but there is no talk of calling the police to catch the men in the van, and no one talks about the kidnapping for the rest of the episode. This was one of the first eps that really let me down in that department.

i liked thsi ep cos the kids little sister can see AL & I read a QL book that wa skinda the 2nd part to this ep. Only the little girl was grown up and like near the end she relaized it was sam and AL it was pretty neat

This show is quantum leap. The premise of this show is that "the dude" travels through time within his life time by swapping places with people from that time period. So in this episode, the protaginist has traveled to early 80's and "leaped" into the body of that kid's mother to save that kid who history records that he disappeared.

I remeber looking at this scene and crying, it was a mix of fear and sadness for the young guy that was kidnapped and the run up to it. Such a great episode and indeed show as a whole. I remember it still
