Star Trek: Reconciliation, part II

Part two of the reconciliation of facts between Star Trek Prime and the new Star Trek continuity as established by the 2009 film. This is a serious SPOILER ALERT. And what about the Starfleet delta emblem? It used to be exclusive to the Enterprise. Each ship had a distinct insignia on the uniform. The first we see it as the official starfleet emblem is in the motion picture, yet they had it on the Kelvin? This oversight can not be reconciled by the new timeline.

Well found. The only explanation I can offer is that some discrepancy carried over from changes effected by Temporal Cold war. Or a temporal anomaly that has yet to be explained.

Of course, the Kelvin was the only ship displayed in its timeline with the Enterprise logo. If we accept that the Kelvin existed in universe prime as a non-descript ship, perhaps it's logo was retired and given to the enterprise crew 20 years later. In universe-a, the emblem may have been like an aids ribbon, and official voted as a memorial emblem in the starfleet uniform code.

I assume you caught Scotty's reference to 'Admiral' Archer's prized beagle? So while TNG and DS9 most likely get wiped, the most worthless series of the franchise survives the new timeline.

Of course it survives. It predates the timeline change. A lot of people in TNG and DS9 won't be born, but the prophets engineered Sisko's birth, so many of the same things should occur.

Note from Spock Prime to Starfleet:

1. If you find the SS Botany Bay, blow it up. I can't be resurrected now, so do it.

2. The Genesis project will go bust, so save your money.

3. Start genetically engineering humpback whales. You'll thank me later.

4. Create a want ad for a couple who are into cybernetic implants to join with the Voyager 6. There are some crazies out there that will be all over this.

Eh, I don't think changes will put this timeline in danger. Regardless of how different things get, Nero comes from the Prime timeline which will not change. They are on an entirely new timeline that is not dependent on itself.

Quantum universe is more accurate than alternate timeline, I guess.
