do you think the difference between the sl1 and sl3 is worth the extra money to put into the sl1? i mean i think the only difference is the pickups (slightly different) and the sl1 has bidnging, while the the sl3 doesnt. they are both made in the usa right? and great playing and phrasing. this isnt an easy song to cover with all that feeling.

@rickenbacker95 SL1 is different from SL3 in: top (SL1 has a real flame top), fingerboard (ebony), bridge (original floyd rose), mother of pearl inlays, binding. SL1 is made in USA instead of SL3 that's made in Japan. SL3 is a nice constructed guitar, close to an Ibanez prestige (that i actually own), but USA Jackons are esthetically amazing and are maniacally built. Pickups are a personal choose, i prefer the H-H configuration (SL2H-MAH) or hot rail at neck.

Hey man great tone! Do you use schaller straplocks in your sl3? Did the screw fit well? I am curious because i also own an sl3 and I want to buy some straplocks. Cheers and keep the great playing dude!

@petkopeet Yes, i used them, but i haven't the SL-3 anymore and i don't remeber if the screws fit well, if the holes are too large you can use a toothpick, and then the screw. Anyway i don't like the straplocks by schaller because of the noise when you move the strap, i suggest you the DiMarzio strap!
